Current cutting-edge technology involves the field of “augmented reality”. The computer-generated world is superimposed over the real world. It is the combination of “virtual reality” (VR) with the everyday world we live in. The applications of augmented reality are only limited by our imaginations. One example of this advanced technology is the projection of a phone keyboard onto your hand. You could punch the buttons to dial a number, but it would all be VR! Soon, we may be able to drive our cars simply using hand gestures and voice applications! Indeed, one popular search engine giant is using augmented virtual reality to allow the user to “open” their email simply by using hand gestures.

Of course video games are becoming increasingly more interactive, such as the recent 3D craze. Now our TV’s, videos, and movies are in 3D, which makes them more realistic. The more of the five senses that can be linked to the virtual world, the more difficult it becomes to distinguish between illusions and reality. Maybe we all live in a programmed matrix, and don’t even know it? Perhaps in the future the virtual world will be more entertaining and desirable than the real world? Time will tell.

Modern technology brought us the cell phone, the computer, the laptop, the tablet and so much more. However, what is in store for the future none of us know. We can only hope for advances on the electronics already out there in the industry and even some new products that are going to be labeled the “must haves”.

Many people hope for a computer that is strong enough to protect itself against viruses and other file corruptions. Virus software is a large help in the day and age of identity theft, but if a computer can hold it’s own and assist in keeping itself safe, it would be a time and money saver.I was looking for more information and found it here.

New and more advanced smart phones are also much anticipated. There has already been much talk about new versions of popular phones to be released this year and the excitement keeps building. Loyal users want to know what the new phones will do, what they will look like and what more advanced technology they will have to make our lives easier. After all, many people depend on technology to help us stress less! Those cell phones, without a doubt, will be added to our lives and they will be used for entertainment, to connect with friends and family and also to load our entire lives onto.

Technology has greatly changed the way we communicate. In the past, it would be difficult to get ahold of someone. You could try calling them, but if nobody was home, you had to leave a message on their answering machine and wait for them to reply. That all changed with technology. You now can call a cell phone, leave them a message on a social media site, send them an e-mail, or send them a private message.

These various ways to communicate via technology has made things much simpler. Instead of having to spend countless hours waiting on people, you can now get in contact with them in mere seconds. Gone are the days of someone being out and everyone wondering when they will be back. Now, you can just call them on their cellphone and they can stop whatever they are doing to pick up the phone and talk.

Technology has made modern communication both more effective and efficient. You can send video to your friends on their phone or social media site. For these reasons, technology has really improved interpersonal relationships between people. The future is bright as people can now get in contact with whoever they want, whenever they want.

How will technology change in the next ten years? Technology has advanced in a number of areas in the previous decade, and it is likely that it will continue down these same paths.

Technology will continue becoming more portable. Bulky laptops and cellular phones of the past ten years are now tiny netbook, tablets and iphones that can function as miniature computers. While netbooks function well for doing simple work and internet browsing, more powerful computers will continue to get smaller and lighter.

Technology will also become more autonomous in the next ten years. Most famously are automated cars which secretly drove in various areas around the country in the past few years. They navigated by means of wireless internet connections and a series of cameras. As far-fetched as it may seem, it is very likely that the next decade will see machines that are able to operate completely independently of human input.

Technology will also become further integrated into people’s everyday lives. This trend will only continue. Technology that tracks people’s locations is already existant, and it likely will be integrated into new technology as features to enhance social media websites.

Technology will continue to advance in fantastic, and often frightening, ways in the next decade.

Modern technology moves fast, yet there are some technologies that aren’t quite ready for home use. In fact, some of them still don’t make sense, despite the fact that they are supposedly the wave of the future. If the future is now, why are there so many lackluster innovations still plaguing the general public. Consider some of the most long overdue technologies below, as just the tip of the iceberg.

Universal remotes that aren’t quite universal. Anyone that has lost their television remote or trying to consolidate their stack of remotes will find this to be quite true. You can find a quick rundown here Buying a universal remote usually means long hours programming, especially if you have a television that doesn’t want to cooperate with the remote. Most often the remotes go haywire when trying to program combination systems. If you have a dvd player that also plays vhs tapes, good luck getting the remote to function properly.

Another innovation that seems to not have changed in the past few decades is the microwave oven. The wattage and power of microwaves varies so much, that it is impossible to cook or heat something up evenly without trial and error. You would think manufacturers would have this down to a science, but instead, millions are burning popcorn, not cooking their tv dinners thoroughly, and heating left overs up two or three times per meal.

A technological innovation is a product or service that is on the cutting edge of new technology. Will your phone replace your wallet? Will people ditch current phone technology all together and jump on the videophone bandwagon?
Phones are beginning to include payment chips that basically turn our phones into credit cards. Smartphone applications will begin to evolve with magazine apps that charge for weekly subscriptions, or games that sell add-on levels. People will begin using videophones in their everyday lives, as simple apps make the technology all-encompassing, it will also get boosted by tablets that include a camera. Music labels will have to re-evaluate charging a dollar per individual song download toward a more user friendly streaming. Life streaming is also becoming the next big thing where people are recording everything they do. First came the e-readers then came the pads, followed by tablets that are setting the standard for computing needs. Our houses will soon be home to an array of robots ready to aide us in everyday activities. It will begin with some simple interactive television technology combined with affordable robot technology like the robot vacuum, and grow to include voice command kitchen appliances and entertainment systems.
